Edo Queens FC Intensify Preparations at Remo Complex Ahead of NWFL Super Six Fiesta
As anticipation builds for the 2024/25 Nigeria Women Football League Premiership Super Six Playoffs, Edo Queens FC were fully engaged in a high-intensity training session today at the Remo International Sports Complex, Ikenne, Ogun State.
The team, determined to leave nothing to chance, is gearing up for what promises to be a fierce contest from May 9 to 17, as six top teams battle for national supremacy.
Among the standout figures in camp is midfield dynamo Emem Essien, who emphasized the squad’s focus and refusal to rest on past achievements.
“We are not here to get carried away with what we have achieved before,” she stated. “Like we say in Nigeria, ‘I get am before no be property.’ We’re focused on taking it one match at a time. That is our desire.”
Edo Queens, one of the standout teams in the regular season, are viewed as serious contenders for the crown. With solid preparation and a clear mindset, they are aiming to turn potential into silverware during this crucial Super Six phase.
The stage is set in Ikenne-Remo — now it’s time for the Queens to rise
