One More Year! Alisson Set To Stay At Liverpool Despite Serie A Transfer Interest

Liverpool supporters can finally breathe a sigh of relief as Alisson Becker now looks increasingly likely to remain at Anfield next season despite growing transfer interest from Juventus.

The Brazilian goalkeeper has been heavily linked with a move back to Serie A in recent weeks, with Juventus reportedly eager to make him their new long-term No.1. But Liverpool appear determined to hold onto one of the club’s most important players for at least one more season.

Liverpool Standing Firm Over Alisson Future

Speculation surrounding Alisson’s future intensified following Liverpool’s final matches of the Premier League campaign, especially after his emotional return from injury against Brentford.

Many fans feared it could have been the 33-year-old’s farewell appearance at Anfield, particularly with reports from Italy suggesting Juventus had already opened talks over personal terms.

However, Liverpool’s internal stance has remained clear throughout the summer.

The Reds previously triggered an extension clause in Alisson’s contract earlier this year — a move that now appears to have been a strong signal of the club’s long-term intentions.

Despite Juventus continuing to monitor the situation closely, Liverpool have no plans to allow the Brazilian shot-stopper to leave easily.

Fabrizio Romano Reveals Liverpool’s Position

Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano has now provided the clearest update yet regarding Alisson’s future — and it is positive news for Liverpool fans.

Romano revealed that Liverpool have directly informed the goalkeeper that they want him to remain at the club next season.

He posted on X:

“Understand Liverpool informed Alisson about their desire and plan to keep him for one more year.”

“Juventus offered Alisson a longer deal but Liverpool insist to keep him.”

“Only player position could change stance but Liverpool clearly want him to stay.”

The update strongly suggests Liverpool still view Alisson as a crucial figure both on and off the pitch as the club prepares for another major campaign.

Juventus Still Interested In Brazilian Star

Juventus remain admirers of the former Roma goalkeeper and are believed to be searching for an elite replacement between the sticks ahead of next season.

Italian reports previously claimed that discussions over salary and contract length had already taken place earlier in May, although no formal agreement has been reached between the clubs.

The Serie A giants are reportedly willing to offer Alisson a longer-term deal than Liverpool currently have on the table.

Still, unless the player actively pushes for a move, Liverpool are expected to stand firm.

A Massive Boost For Liverpool

Keeping Alisson would represent a huge boost for Liverpool as the club enters another important transitional period.

The Brazilian remains one of the best goalkeepers in world football and continues to play a massive role in Liverpool’s ambitions domestically and in Europe.

His leadership, experience, and consistency could prove vital once again as the Reds look to challenge for major honours next season.

For now, it appears Liverpool fans will get at least one more year of Alisson magic at Anfield.
