It’s been a month to remember for Alessia Russo — and now she has the award to prove it.
The Arsenal Women striker has officially been crowned Player of the Month in the Women’s Super League after a sensational run of performances that lit up March.
And honestly? It was never really in doubt.
Four goals. One assist. Three games.
That’s the kind of form that turns heads — and wins awards.
Russo kicked things off with an assist before finding the net against West Ham United Women. But the real headline moment came in the North London derby, where she delivered a stunning hat-trick to seal a huge win over Tottenham.
When the stakes were high, she delivered. Simple as that.
This wasn’t an easy race to win.
Russo edged out top contenders including Khadija Shaw, who also impressed with a hat-trick for Manchester City, along with several other standout performers across the league.
But consistency + impact = victory.
And Russo had both.
It wasn’t just Russo celebrating.
Arsenal boss Renee Slegers also picked up Manager of the Month after guiding the team to a perfect three wins from three.
That’s a statement month.
While the title race may still favor Manchester City, Arsenal are quietly building momentum — and pushing hard for a strong finish.
Elsewhere, Oona Siren grabbed Goal of the Month with a stunning volley for West Ham United Women.
Moments like that remind us why the WSL continues to grow in quality and excitement every season.
With Russo firing, Slegers leading, and the team hitting top form, Arsenal are showing serious intent heading into the final stretch.
Trophies may still be up for grabs — and if March is anything to go by, they’re not backing down anytime soon.
