Victor Osimhen with a customized Tesla Cybertruck gifted to his sister
Victor Osimhen has once again captured attention off the pitch after gifting his elder sister, Blessing, a customised Tesla Cybertruck reportedly worth nearly ₦400 million.
The luxurious electric truck, unveiled by Polanco Exotic Cars on social media, immediately went viral as fans praised the Nigerian striker for the generous gesture.
The Cybertruck gifted by the Galatasaray striker is far from the standard factory model.
The vehicle features a stealth matte black wrap, designed to withstand Nigeria’s intense sunlight, giving it a bold and aggressive appearance.
Another unique touch is a custom red “T” Tesla logo fitted on the bonnet — a distinctive aftermarket feature that separates it from the typical minimalist design seen on most Cybertrucks.
This modification adds an extra layer of exclusivity to the already rare vehicle on Nigerian roads.
Although the base price of a Cybertruck in the United States is significantly lower, importing one into Nigeria dramatically increases the cost.
Experts estimate the total cost to reach around ₦400 million (about $288,000) due to several factors:
Air-freight shipping costs that can exceed ₦80 million
High customs duties and import charges
Special modifications and luxury upgrades
The unit gifted by Osimhen is believed to be the “Cyberbeast” variant, which features a tri-motor all-wheel-drive system capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.6 seconds.
For a country where electric vehicle infrastructure is still developing, owning such a vehicle is seen more as a symbol of status and prestige than everyday practicality.
The Super Eagles star has long been known for his generosity toward family and his community.
Raised in the Olusosun area of Lagos, Osimhen frequently gives back to the neighbourhood where he grew up.
Some of his notable acts include:
Donating tricycles (Keke Napep) to youths to help them earn a living
Distributing food items such as rice and noodles to families
Paying school fees for students in his community
Donating ₦10 million to Remo Stars F.C. following their 2024/25 Nigeria Professional Football League title victory
Osimhen was also crowned CAF African Footballer of the Year in 2023, further cementing his place among Africa’s top football stars.
Osimhen’s purchase also reflects a growing trend among Nigerian celebrities embracing the futuristic vehicle.
Music stars like Davido, Burna Boy and Wizkid have also reportedly added Cybertrucks to their luxury car collections.
The distinctive angular design has quickly become one of the most recognizable status symbols among Nigerian A-listers.
For Osimhen, the latest gift highlights his continued commitment to sharing his success with the people closest to him.
From humble beginnings in Lagos to becoming one of the highest-paid African footballers, the striker continues to demonstrate that family remains at the centre of his journey.
