Tems & Bukayo Saka Spark Buzz With Surprise Abbey Road Studio Session

Nigeria’s Grammy-winning songstress Tems and Bukayo Saka have set social media alight after being spotted together at the iconic Abbey Road Studios on March 2, 2026.

The surprise studio session was teased by Arsenal F.C. in a short clip posted online with the caption: “Landing soon.” The cryptic message has left fans eagerly anticipating what could be a groundbreaking fusion of sport and sound.

What’s The Gist?

This creative link-up didn’t happen overnight.

Back in February 2025, Tems and fellow Afrobeats star Ayra Starr attended Arsenal’s clash with West Ham at the Emirates Stadium. After the match, Saka presented the artists with personalised Arsenal jerseys — a moment that quietly laid the groundwork for this evolving friendship.

Fast forward to 2026, and the duo have traded matchday hospitality for microphone stands.

In the now-viral clip, Tems is seen stepping confidently behind the mic, playfully asking Saka if he’s “ready” before they begin what appears to be a creative production session. Whether this signals Saka’s musical debut or forms part of a branded campaign remains unclear — but the energy suggests something special is in the works.

Arsenal’s “Naija” Blueprint

This isn’t Arsenal’s first crossover with Nigerian music culture.

In July 2023, the club memorably used the hit single “Declan Rice” by Odumodublvck to announce the signing of Declan Rice. The track became a viral sensation, with streams surging dramatically following Rice’s standout performances.

Arsenal’s strong connection with Nigeria dates back decades, strengthened by club legend Nwankwo Kanu and sustained by a massive West African fanbase.

Today, that bond feels stronger than ever. Saka himself has openly spoken about his love for Afrobeats, including classics like “Oleku”, while prominent Nigerian artists such as Falz, Banky W and MI Abaga are known Arsenal supporters.

By bringing Tems and Saka together at Abbey Road, the club appears to be once again bridging North London and Lagos — reinforcing football and Afrobeats as two of Nigeria’s biggest global exports.

What’s Next For Arsenal?

While the studio buzz dominates headlines, Arsenal’s focus on the pitch remains sharp.

Mikel Arteta’s side are pushing to end their 22-year wait for a Premier League title and are also chasing a historic first Champions League triumph. Following a 2-1 victory over Chelsea, the Gunners now prepare for a crucial trip to Brighton as they aim to extend their lead at the top of the table.

For now, fans will be watching two stages closely — the football pitch and the recording studio.

Whatever “Landing soon” means, it’s safe to say this crossover has already captured global attention.
