Cold Weather, Hot Banter: Iwobi And Chukwueze Light Up Fulham’s Dressing Room

Every football partnership has its honeymoon phase. For Fulham’s newest Nigerian connection, that phase has officially met its first — and very entertaining — test.

After Samuel Chukwueze publicly praised Alex Iwobi for playing a key role in his move to Fulham, he couldn’t resist adding a playful complaint. According to the winger, Iwobi conveniently “forgot” to mention one small detail about life in London: the freezing cold.

That light-hearted jab quickly became the talk of West London, giving fans a rare and refreshing look into the real friendship behind Chukwueze’s high-profile switch from AC Milan.

“I Can’t Keep You Happy, Bro”

As Chukwueze continued to lament the harsh Premier League weather, Iwobi decided it was time to set the record straight — with laughter.

“I can’t keep you happy bro,” Iwobi replied, making it clear that while he may have helped facilitate a career-reviving move, controlling the UK climate was never part of the deal.

The former Arsenal and Everton midfielder’s response perfectly captured the tone of their relationship: supportive, honest, and full of banter.

Retiring From Weather Forecast Duties

Iwobi’s message was clear. He was happy to help his fellow Super Eagles star settle into Fulham, but his days as Chukwueze’s personal concierge — and unofficial weather forecaster — were officially over.

Chukwueze, however, was not about to let Iwobi have the final word.

“This time keep around just keep yourself happy,” he snapped back, sealing what fans quickly interpreted as a mock truce rather than a real disagreement.

Fulham Fans Are The Real Winners

While the two Nigerians trade jokes about jackets and thermals, Fulham supporters are enjoying the real benefits: chemistry, confidence, and creativity on the pitch.

The arrival of the AC Milan loanee has added pace and dynamism to the squad, and it is obvious that the comfort between Chukwueze and Iwobi is translating directly into performances.

In modern football, connections matter. Trust matters. And sometimes, shared jokes matter just as much as shared passes.

Final Whistle

As long as the goals and assists keep coming, Fulham fans are unlikely to mind if Chukwueze shows up to training wrapped in an extra layer or two.

Cold weather fades. Chemistry lasts.
