After wrapping up their training camp in Cairo and concluding preparations with a 2–1 friendly defeat to Egypt on Tuesday, the Super Eagles have now switched fully into tournament mode. And despite the loss to the Pharaohs, Ndidi’s tone suggests the setback has only sharpened Nigeria’s focus.

“We just arrived in Morocco. The Super Eagles just arrived in Morocco and we’re ready,” Ndidi said in a video shared by CAF following the team’s arrival in Fez on Thursday.

Ndidi, who has been handed the captain’s armband for AFCON 2025, is expected to play a crucial leadership role both on and off the pitch.
