Atalanta Set €50 Million Price Tag As Galatasaray Push For Ademola Lookman Transfer

Atalanta Set €50 Million Price Tag As Galatasaray Push For Ademola Lookman Transfer

The January transfer window is heating up early, and this time, it’s all eyes on Ademola Lookman as Atalanta slap a bold €50 million price tag on the Nigerian star. Turkish giants Galatasaray are leading the chase, and the story is getting juicier by the day.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Lookman has already shown interest in making the move to Istanbul. But Galatasaray will have to bring serious cash to the table before Atalanta even think about shaking hands.

The 27-year-old joined Atalanta from RB Leipzig in 2022 for €15 million and has grown into one of Europe’s most electric wingers. But after a frustrating summer—where two bids from Inter Milan were rejected—Lookman seems ready for a fresh challenge.

And here’s where it gets even more interesting:
Victor Osimhen is reportedly in his ear, urging his Super Eagles teammate to join him at Galatasaray. A Nigerian duo linking up in Turkey? Now that’s a storyline football fans would queue up to watch.

Galatasaray believe this powerful synergy between the two Nigerian stars could help sway Atalanta, but the Italian club is not blinking. For them, it’s simple:
Pay €50 million, or Lookman stays in Bergamo.

Lookman had a standout 2023/24 season, banging in 20 goals in 41 appearances. This season? Just 2 goals in 12 matches—not his usual fireworks. A move to Turkey might just be the reset button he needs.

As January approaches, all eyes will be on whether Galatasaray can match Atalanta’s firm valuation and bring Lookman to Istanbul for a new chapter.
