Marcus Rashford modeling Barcelona 2025-26 fourth kit inspired by Ronaldinho’s Clasico win
Barcelona has unveiled its 2025-26 fourth kit, commemorating twenty years since Ronaldinho’s unforgettable performance in El Clasico. On that night in November 2005, the Brazilian magician scored two stunning solo goals to lead Barcelona to a 3-0 win at the Santiago Bernabeu — earning a rare standing ovation from Real Madrid fans.
This historic moment is now celebrated through a new kit, and Manchester United star Marcus Rashford has taken center stage in the campaign to promote it.
Ronaldinho’s second goal that night, where he dribbled past two defenders before slotting the ball past Iker Casillas, remains etched in football history. The gesture of applause from Madrid supporters, previously only given to Diego Maradona as a visiting player, cemented the match’s legendary status. Rashford’s involvement in the kit promotion bridges the past and present, celebrating football’s artistry.
Barcelona detailed the new kit’s inspiration:
The vertical stripes appear unstructured, symbolizing the trajectory of the goals from that night — Eto’o’s opener and Ronaldinho’s two solo strikes.
Inside the collar, three circles mark the minutes of the goals: 14th, 58th, and 77th.
The Catalan flag adorns the outside of the collar, while the maroon shorts feature a blue stripe along each leg.
Adult sizes range between £125 and £205, highlighting both the kit’s premium design and historic significance.
The announcement video emphasizes the fusion of football, sport, and fashion. Alongside Rashford, stars including Rooney Bardghji, Alejandro Balde, Marc Bernal, Alexia Putellas, Aitana Bonmati, and Ona Batlle explore the kit’s artistic inspiration. Scenes depict football as art: Bardghji touches a grass-textured canvas, Bernal admires a lit “Mes que un Club” sign, and Rashford examines a replica of Ronaldinho’s iconic boots, nodding to the legendary applause he received.
Barcelona’s 2025-26 fourth kit is more than apparel — it’s a tribute to one of football’s greatest nights and a celebration of Ronaldinho’s enduring legacy.
