Stephen Curry was unstoppable as the Golden State Warriors ended the San Antonio Spurs’ perfect home record, scoring 46 points in a thrilling 125-120 victory at Frost Bank Center in Texas.
The two-time NBA MVP powered the Warriors to their first road win in six games, outscoring the Spurs 76-64 in the second half. Spurs stars Victor Wembanyama and Stephon Castle made history by both recording triple-doubles in the same game, but Curry’s 29-point second-half explosion proved decisive.
“That third quarter is what we do – getting stops, pushing, creating easy offence. Thankfully I was able to knock a couple down,” Curry said.
Jimmy Butler added 28 points and eight assists, while Moses Moody contributed 19 points to round out the Warriors’ balanced attack.
Thunder Dominate Lakers
Reigning MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the Oklahoma City Thunder to a dominant 121-92 win over the Los Angeles Lakers, racking up 30 points, five rebounds, and nine assists. The Thunder built a massive 37-point lead, allowing starters to rest in the fourth quarter.
Luka Doncic scored 19 points and had seven assists for the Lakers before being subbed out as the game was well beyond reach. With the victory, the Thunder maintain their position atop the Western Conference with a 12-1 record.
“We definitely got better the last two days and that’s the main goal,” Gilgeous-Alexander said.
Jokic Delivers Another Masterclass
Nikola Jokic was phenomenal as the Denver Nuggets beat the Los Angeles Clippers 130-116 at Intuit Dome. Jokic scored 55 points, including 25 in the first quarter, and also grabbed 12 rebounds and six assists. This marks the fourth time in his career that Jokic has scored at least 50 points in a regular-season game, extending Denver’s winning streak to six games.
