Ricardo Quaresma Picks Victor Osimhen Over Premier League Stars In Viral “Pick One” Challenge
Former Barcelona and Chelsea winger Ricardo Quaresma has heaped praise on Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, ranking him above several Premier League stars in a recent viral “pick one” challenge that quickly caught fire across social media.
The Portuguese legend, known for his flair and creativity on the pitch, surprised fans with his unwavering loyalty to the Super Eagles forward throughout the game — even when presented with some of Europe’s finest attacking names.
Quaresma Repeatedly Chooses Osimhen Over Premier League Stars
During the viral challenge, Quaresma was tasked with choosing between pairs of top strikers.
Even when faced with Premier League talents like Alexander Isak and Hugo Ekitike, the former Porto icon consistently backed Victor Osimhen.
The only player Quaresma rated higher was Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martínez — citing style and consistency as deciding factors.
When it came to picking between Cristiano Ronaldo, Erling Haaland, and others, Quaresma admitted a touch of personal bias, calling them “different levels of greatness.”
Osimhen Shining Brighter Than Premier League’s Elite
While top English clubs like Liverpool and Arsenal opted for other forwards last summer, Osimhen has been on an unstoppable rise at Galatasaray.
The 26-year-old striker has already netted six goals in three Champions League games, including strikes against Liverpool, Ajax, and Bodø/Glimt, making him the highest-scoring Nigerian in the competition’s history.
His red-hot form puts him ahead of Haaland, Mbappé, and Kane in this season’s Champions League goal charts — proving Quaresma’s admiration is far from misplaced.
As Nigeria prepares for a crucial 2026 World Cup qualifier against Gabon, fans will be hoping Osimhen can replicate his club-level brilliance for the Super Eagles, continuing to prove why legends like Quaresma can’t help but pick him time and again.
