Jude Bellingham celebrating after scoring for England during an international match
England Boss Thomas Tuchel Has Recalled Jude Bellingham And Phil Foden For The November World Cup Qualifiers, While Bournemouth Star Alex Scott Earns A Surprise First Call-Up.
After missing the October internationals, Jude Bellingham is back in the Three Lions squad for their World Cup qualifiers against Serbia and Albania. The Real Madrid star was previously left out amid fitness concerns following shoulder surgery and speculation about his character.
Phil Foden also returns to inject more creativity into Tuchel’s attacking setup, while 21-year-old Alex Scott has been rewarded for his brilliant form with AFC Bournemouth, marking his first-ever senior England call-up.
Bellingham had been managing a shoulder injury through the summer and only recently regained full match sharpness. Tuchel’s decision to recall him reflects the midfielder’s impressive performances for Real Madrid, where he continues to dominate in midfield and deliver clutch goals.
“Jude is a generational player. He’s shown hunger, maturity, and leadership even at his age,” Tuchel said. “It’s great to have him back. We need that energy and creativity in midfield.”
The 20-year-old has already won 43 caps for England and is expected to play a key role in the team’s preparation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Goalkeepers: Dean Henderson (Crystal Palace), Jordan Pickford (Everton), Nick Pope (Newcastle United)
Defenders: Dan Burn (Newcastle), Marc Guéhi (Crystal Palace), Reece James (Chelsea), Ezri Konsa (Aston Villa), Nico O’Reilly (Manchester City), Jarell Quansah (Bayer Leverkusen), Djed Spence (Tottenham), John Stones (Manchester City)
Midfielders: Elliot Anderson (Nottingham Forest), Jude Bellingham (Real Madrid), Jordan Henderson (Brentford), Declan Rice (Arsenal), Morgan Rogers (Aston Villa), Alex Scott (Bournemouth), Adam Wharton (Crystal Palace)
Forwards: Jarrod Bowen (West Ham), Eberechi Eze (Arsenal), Phil Foden (Manchester City), Anthony Gordon (Newcastle), Harry Kane (Bayern Munich), Marcus Rashford (Barcelona, on loan), Bukayo Saka (Arsenal)
Scott’s inclusion has been one of the biggest talking points. The Bournemouth midfielder has been instrumental in his club’s impressive fifth-place Premier League run, showing composure and creativity beyond his years.
Having already represented England’s U21 side and helped them to European Championship glory in 2025, his promotion to the senior team feels like a natural progression.
“Alex has earned this,” Tuchel noted. “He’s been outstanding for Bournemouth. He plays with confidence and intelligence. That’s exactly what we want in this team.”
Elsewhere, Marcus Rashford — currently on loan at Barcelona — has retained his spot, with Tuchel backing him to rediscover his spark. Captain Harry Kane remains the heartbeat of the team, closing in on Peter Shilton’s record of 125 England caps.
Nick Pope also returns between the sticks, aiming to stake his claim for the No.1 shirt ahead of next year’s tournaments.
As England head into another international window, Tuchel’s latest selection reflects a balance of youth, experience, and redemption — with eyes firmly set on building momentum for the 2026 World Cup.
