Chiamaka Nnadozie Nominated For Best FIFA Women’s Goalkeeper 2025 Award
Nigeria’s shining star Chiamaka Nnadozie has been nominated for the prestigious Best FIFA Women’s Goalkeeper 2025 Award, marking yet another milestone in her fast-rising career.
The 24-year-old joins a world-class lineup of nominees including Hannah Hampton, Ann-Katrin Berger, Cata Coll, Christiane Endler, Anna Moorhouse, and Phallon Tullis-Joyce — all vying for the top goalkeeping honour in women’s football.
A Remarkable Year Of Success
It’s been a season to remember for Nnadozie, who played a crucial role in helping Paris FC clinch the Coupe de Féminine title in May. During the tense final, she pulled off two stunning saves in the penalty shootout to secure Paris FC’s first silverware in 20 years with a 5-4 victory.
Her performances between the sticks have not gone unnoticed. On the international stage, Nnadozie was a key pillar in Nigeria’s triumphant run at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
She kept four clean sheets throughout the tournament and was deservedly named Goalkeeper of the Tournament, further cementing her status as one of Africa’s best.
Recognition Beyond Africa
Nnadozie’s excellence has earned her multiple global recognitions. In addition to the FIFA nomination, she was shortlisted for the inaugural Women’s Yachine Trophy and also received a nomination for CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year.
Voting Now Open
The Best FIFA Football Awards 2025 will celebrate outstanding individuals and teams across the sport. Voting is currently open to coaches, captains, media representatives, and fans via FIFA.com until November 28, 2025.
With her incredible performances and inspiring journey, Chiamaka Nnadozie continues to prove that African excellence stands tall on the world stage.
