Moses Simon Shines Bright In France As Paris FC Stun Monaco

Super Eagles winger Moses Simon delivered a stellar performance this weekend, firing Paris FC to a hard-fought 1-0 victory over high-flying AS Monaco — and sealing his place as Naija Baller of the Week.

Simon’s goal — his first since August 31st against Metz — not only broke his personal drought but also ended Paris FC’s three-match winless streak. The 30-year-old Nigerian was the difference-maker at the Stade Louis II, scoring early in the second half and guiding his side to a crucial win that snapped Monaco’s six-match unbeaten run.

Playing 89 minutes, Simon was everywhere:

  • 1 key pass

  • 1 chance created

  • 70% pass completion rate

His confidence and precision in attack gave Paris FC the spark they desperately needed as they continue to chase a top-half Ligue 1 finish.

While Simon stole the spotlight, it was a relatively quiet weekend for other Super Eagles stars abroad.

In Turkey, the highly anticipated Super Eagles Showdown between Victor Osimhen’s Galatasaray and Paul Onuachu’s Trabzonspor ended in a goalless draw, with neither player finding the net.

Meanwhile, in Italy, Maduka Okoye came out on top in a sibling-style clash, helping Udinese secure a 1-0 win — and a clean sheet — against Ademola Lookman’s Atalanta, where Lookman surprisingly started on the bench.

For Eric Chelle and the Super Eagles, Simon’s form couldn’t have come at a better time. His creativity, pace, and composure in front of goal underline why he remains a vital piece of Nigeria’s attack ahead of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

With others quiet and Simon on song, this week belongs to the Paris FC winger — the Naija Baller of the Week and a reminder that Nigerian excellence continues to light up Europe’s biggest stages.
