Peter Olayinka Leaves Red Star Belgrade After Mutual Agreement To End Contract
Nigerian forward Peter Olayinka has officially left Red Star Belgrade after both parties agreed to end his contract by mutual consent.
The 29-year-old, who joined the Serbian giants from Slavia Prague in 2023, had been a key part of the team but struggled for consistent game time in recent months.
Despite registering 14 goals during his stint with the former European champions, Olayinka’s time in Belgrade didn’t go as smoothly as expected. His early promise gradually gave way to reduced minutes and a desire for a fresh start.
Red Star confirmed the development in an official club statement shared on their website and social media platforms:
“Football Club Crvena Zvezda informs the public that it has mutually terminated its cooperation with Peter Olayinka, with mutual understanding and respect.
Peter expressed his desire to seek a new challenge in his career, and the club respected his wish, expressing gratitude for his professionalism, dedication, and contribution to our team during his time here.”

The statement concluded warmly, wishing the Nigerian forward success in his next chapter:
“Crvena Zvezda thanks Olayinka for everything he has done in the red-and-white jersey and wishes him much success, good health, and happiness in the continuation of his career. Thank you, Peter and good luck!”
Olayinka now enters free agency as clubs across Europe and Asia begin to show interest in securing his signature. Known for his work rate, versatility, and eye for goal, the former Slavia Prague man could soon be on his way to another exciting challenge.
