Lamar Jackson celebrating after throwing a touchdown pass in the Baltimore Ravens’ win over the Miami Dolphins.
Lamar Jackson Came Back Like He Never Left.
After three weeks out with a hamstring injury, the two-time NFL MVP made a statement return, throwing four touchdown passes as the Baltimore Ravens dominated the Miami Dolphins 28–6 at the Hard Rock Stadium.
The 28-year-old quarterback reminded everyone why he’s one of the most electrifying players in football, completing 18 of 23 passes for 204 yards with zero interceptions.
Tight end Mark Andrews, who caught two of Jackson’s four touchdown throws, summed it up perfectly:
“He’s a two-time MVP for a reason. With [number] 8 leading the charge, we’re a dangerous team.”
It was a complete team performance from the Ravens (3–5), who have now won back-to-back games and are aiming to become just the fifth team in NFL history to reach the playoffs after losing five of their first six.
Meanwhile, the Dolphins (2–7) continue to struggle, losing four of their last five.
Baltimore’s defense deserves major credit too — holding Miami to just two field goals all night.
Jackson, playing in his hometown of Miami Gardens, admitted he felt “a little rusty” at first but quickly found his rhythm, connecting with Andrews twice in the first half.
In the third quarter, he led a masterful 11-play, 68-yard drive, capping it off with a touchdown to Charlie Kolar, before finishing the night with another strike to Rashod Bateman.
Running back Derrick Henry also made history, rushing for 119 yards on 19 carries to surpass 12,000 career rushing yards, becoming just the 17th player in NFL history to hit that milestone.
“Whenever you’re away from the game, you miss it,” Henry said. “It was even better that, when he [Jackson] came back, it was in his hometown. So, it probably gave him a little more juice.”
From rust to rhythm, Lamar Jackson’s comeback was the spark the Ravens needed — and if this performance is anything to go by, Baltimore’s playoff dreams are very much alive.
