After a turbulent spell in North London, Scott Munn is on the brink of a fresh challenge in Italy. The former Tottenham Hotspur chief football officer, who left the club during a sweeping boardroom shake-up, is set to take up a new role with Serie A side Parma.
According to reports from Gazzetta dello Sport and Parma Today, Munn is close to finalising a deal to become the new head of the Krause Group’s football division, the American consortium that owns Parma. This would mark his return to a senior football leadership role less than six months after his Spurs departure.
Munn’s time at Tottenham was brief, lasting less than two years. His exit came amid an intense period of transition at the club that also saw the departure of long-serving chairman Daniel Levy, executive director Donna-Maria Cullen, and head coach Ange Postecoglou, who was one of his key allies.
Tottenham’s 2024/25 season was a mixed bag. While they enjoyed success in the Europa League, their domestic campaign was disappointing. Much of the criticism centered on the club’s injury crisis, which some insiders linked to changes in the medical department led by Munn.
When he joined from the City Football Group in 2023, Munn was expected to bring stability and best practices across Tottenham’s footballing operations. Then-chairman Levy praised his “unique and broad experience of running sporting organisations at the highest level.”
Now, Munn will look to apply those skills in Italy with Parma — a club with ambitions to grow both on and off the pitch under American ownership.
