Victor Osimhen Leads Super Eagles Charge Ahead Of 2026 World Cup Qualifiers
Nigeria’s star striker Victor Osimhen has linked up with his Super Eagles teammates in Polokwane, South Africa, as the squad intensifies preparations for their crucial Group C 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Benin Republic.
The arrival of Osimhen, widely regarded as one of Africa’s most lethal forwards, provides a massive boost to the team’s confidence. Known for his speed, aerial dominance, and relentless finishing, the Napoli striker will be central to Nigeria’s hopes of securing maximum points in the final two qualifiers.
Super Eagles Squad Update
So far, 18 players are confirmed in camp, including captain Troost Ekong, Ademola Lookman, Chrisantus Uche, Wilfred Ndidi, Bruno Onyemaechi, Terem Moffi, Moses Simon, and Calvin Bassey.
Other key names include Alex Iwobi, Samuel Chukwueze, Frank Onyeka, Semi Ajayi, Stanley Nwabali, Adebayo Adeleye, and new addition Benjamin Fredrick.

The Super Eagles held their first training session on Tuesday evening, with Osimhen already looking sharp in front of goal.
