‘Very Boring!’ – Fabio Capello Slams Juventus And AC Milan After Goalless Serie A Draw
Sunday’s much-anticipated Serie A clash between Juventus and AC Milan ended in frustration both on and off the pitch, with former England and Italy coaching legend Fabio Capello branding the match “very boring.”
Capello’s Brutal Verdict
Capello, who managed both Juventus and Milan during his glittering career, was unimpressed with what he saw at the Allianz Stadium. Speaking to Radio anch’io Sport via Football Italia, the 78-year-old didn’t hold back:
“Juve-Milan was not a great show. A very boring first half, the two teams didn’t have the courage to take any risks. We saw a little bit more in the second half. From two teams like that, we were expecting more of a spectacle.”
The criticism reflects a growing sentiment among fans frustrated by the lack of attacking ambition shown by two of Serie A’s biggest clubs.
Missed Chances Define The Match
The game was cagey from start to finish, with both sides struggling to create clear-cut opportunities. AC Milan had the best chances to snatch a victory, but Christian Pulisic missed from the penalty spot and Rafael Leão wasted a late opportunity.
Juventus, meanwhile, failed to ignite their attack, leaving home fans visibly frustrated. The Bianconeri faithful expressed their displeasure at full-time with loud boos echoing across the stadium — something Capello fully agreed with:
“They were all rightly booed at the end.”
Another Draw For Juventus
The result marked Juventus’ fifth straight draw, piling pressure on manager Massimiliano Allegri as his side continues to stutter. For Milan, the draw keeps them within touching distance of the top four, but questions remain over their ability to rise to the big occasions.
With both teams boasting strong squads, Capello’s comments serve as a reminder that Serie A’s heavyweights will need to rediscover their courage and attacking flair if they are to truly excite fans this season.
