During more than a decade at Goodison Park, Baines became a cornerstone of Moyes’ side. Only Seamus Coleman, Tim Howard, and Leon Osman have made more Premier League appearances for the Toffees. Remarkably, Baines still holds the record for most assists by an Everton player in the competition – proof of his attacking influence from full-back.

Now 40, Baines is carving out a second legacy – this time as a coach. Since hanging up his boots in 2020, he has quickly earned respect for his tactical ideas and meticulous attention to detail.
