Arsenal Send Best Wishes To Former Striker Billy Vigar After Head Injury

Arsenal have sent their best wishes to former striker Billy Vigar, who is currently in an induced coma following a horrific head injury while playing for Chichester City. The Gunners released a message of support on social media, wishing the 21-year-old a “speedy recovery.”

Vigar suffered the injury during Chichester’s recent clash with Wingate & Finchley. In a brave attempt to stop the ball from going out of play, the young forward collided with a concrete wall, sustaining a serious head injury. Play was halted immediately, with an ambulance rushing him to intensive care.

Arsenal’s Message Of Support

The Premier League giants wrote on X:
“Wishing you a speedy recovery, Billy. Everyone at Arsenal sends love and support to Billy and his loved ones at this difficult time.”

Club Update On His Condition

Two days after the incident, Chichester City released an emotional statement:
“Billy received a significant brain injury and is currently in an induced coma in intensive care receiving the best possible treatment. It is too early to say what the outcome will be and even if things go well, there will be a long road to recovery ahead. Love from the whole of the CCFC family, Billy.”

Billy Vigar’s Arsenal Journey

Vigar joined Arsenal at just 14 in 2017 and signed his first professional deal in July 2022. Though he never made a senior appearance, he was a regular in the U18 Premier League and Premier League 2 sides, producing goals and assists across campaigns. He also had a loan spell with Derby County U21s before leaving Arsenal in 2023.

This summer, he joined Chichester City and had quickly become a valuable addition before his unfortunate injury.
Billy Vigar left the Gunners last term and dropped into non-league
