Nigeria Lose Bid To Host 2025 U17 AFCON Qualifiers
Nigeria will no longer play host to the WAFU B edition of the 2025 U17 AFCON and as a result Cote d’Ivoire will stage the qualifying tournament next month.
Nigeria had designated the MKO Abiola Stadum in Abeokuta and the Remo Stars Sports Complex in Ikenne for the qualifying series before they were stripped of the rights.
Renovation at the Remo Stars Sports Complex has now forced WAFU B secretariat to move the tournament to Cote d’Ivoire.
The competition will be played between September 11 and 25.
Coach Manu Garba has been working on the Golden Eaglets final squad for the tournament in Abuja.
