Half-Price Chelsea Star Attracts European Giants
Chelsea attacker Christopher Nkunku has been linked with a move away from the club this summer, and Bayern Munich are keen on securing his signature.
The German club were interested in signing him during the January transfer as well, but they were quoted an asking price of €70 million. The player is now reported to be available for half of that, as per CFBayernInsider.
Bayern keen on Christopher Nkunku
The German champions have been in contact with his agent, Pini Zahavi, regarding a summer move. It will be interesting to see if they can wrap up the move quickly. Nkunku wants to leave Chelsea in search of regular playing time. He is not a key player for the Blues anymore, and leaving the club would be ideal for him. It remains to be seen how the situation develops.
The French attacker played his best football in Germany with RB Leipzig, and returning to the Bundesliga could be ideal for him. There is no doubt that he’s a quality player, but he has not been able to hit top form since joining Chelsea. Leaving them would be ideal for him. Meanwhile, the Blues will look to cut their losses on the player and move on as well.
Chelsea need to replace Nkunku
It will be interesting to see if Chelsea can bring in a dynamic attacker before the window closes. They have been linked with Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig. The Netherlands International could be the ideal replacement for Nkunku if he moves on.
The player is very much at the peak of his powers, and he could improve Bayern Munich going forward. They need to add more depth and quality to the side if they want to do well in the UEFA Champions League. They managed to win the league title last season, and they have an ambitious project. The player will be attracted to the idea of playing for them.
