The first round of fixtures took place on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week, with several Championship sides such as Wrexham, Preston North End, and Bristol City progressing after wins.
Of course, the second round is traditionally when Premier League teams without European commitments enter the competition.
Everton, Leeds United, and notable Man United will all take part in the second round of competition, while holders Newcastle United will sit out until the third round.

On that occasion, Will Grigg was certainly on fire as he netted a brace while former Arsenal academy product Benik Afobe also scored twice.
