Sporting Lagos NNL 2024/2025 Season In Numbers

The fight to return back to the Nigeria Premier Football League by the lagos based side Sporting Lagos returns.

Back in 2023/2024 season, the “Tech Boys” secured promotion to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) after a 2-0 victory over Stormers SC in their second game of the Nigeria National League (NNL) Super Eight playoff before winning the Championship title of the maiden edition of the Naija Super 8 pre-season tournament following a 4–2 victory at local rivals Remo Stars F.C.

In 2023/2024, Sporting Lagos were relegated back to the NNL after they lost on the final matchday and finished in 17th place in June 2024, with a low tally of 46 point

Sporting Lagos couldn’t make it back to the topflight league in 2024/2025 season finishing 3rd position in the Conference B group with 4points out of the Super 8 zone as Kun Khalifat and Osun United picked the slots.

On 28 June 2025, it was reported that the club’s head coach, Shola Adegun, had left his role at the club to join Plateau United F.C. On 10 July 2025, the club confirmed his departure on their website, adding that Jeffery Buter would handle interim training

ABDULRAHEEM SULAIMON- MIDFIELDER
Abdulraheem bossed it in the middle all season long and finishes 3rd place in the Rexona Player of the season vote. His tempo, vision, and execution were topnotch

Sporting Lagos without a head coach will need to push further for the third attempts in the Nigeria National League 2025/2026 season and see if they could return back to the topflight league once again.
