Man Utd Begin Personal Terms Talks With Super Eagles Ndidi

Manchester United have secured the services of Brian Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha ahead of the 2025/2026 English Premier season…

Three-time UEFA Champions League winners, Manchester United, have opened personal talks with Super Eagles and Leicester City midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, according to Soccernet.ng.

The 28-year-old is a cult hero at the King Power Stadium, having won the FA Cup, Community Shield and EFL Championship with the Foxes.

Nonetheless, the time to move on has come. Leicester City suffered relegation from the English top-flight last season and will be competing in the Championship next term.

As a result, Ndidi is keen on playing football at the highest level and has garnered interest from Germany, Italy, England and Spain.

Manchester United are keen on bringing in an experienced midfielder into Amorim’s tactical plans, and have identified Ndidi as the player who fills that gap.

Additionally, several ex-players and staff have echoed the same sentiments about the Super Eagles star, claiming he’ll be a worthwhile addition for the Red Devils in the middle of the park.

Although Manchester United signed Manuel Ugarte for that role last season, the South American has found it hard to adapt to the needs of English football, hence Ndidi’s pursuit.

As per Caught Offside, Manchester United have opened talks over personal terms with the Nigerian International who is available for £9m because of a relegation clause in his contract.

They’re hoping the AFCON 2019 Bronze medallist agrees to their offer, so they can make official contact with Leicester City over a final arrangement for the player to head to Old Trafford.

Should Manchester United sign Ndidi?
When the winter transfer window opens, Wilfred Ndidi will be 29 years old, and an opportunity to play for a club of Manchester United’s stature cannot be passed up, as it might never come up again for him.

Should the move happen, he’ll become the second Nigerian to don the jersey of the Reds after Odion Ighalo.

The former Genk man has the quality to play for any team in the Premier League, alongside the versatility to play in defence and midfield.
Given his asking price, a deal for him seems like a no-brainer for Ruben Amorim’s side, and his wage demands aren’t overboard.
