Real Madrid Set To Renew Brahim Diaz After Courtois Agreement
It has been widely reported that Real Madrid have reached an agreement with Thibaut Courtois over a new contract.
The Belgian goalkeeper is expected to sign a deal until 2027, which will seal his future at the Santiago Bernabeu at least for the next couple of years.
Courtois, though, won’t be the only Real Madrid to player to sign a renewal this summer as the club are also closing in on an agreement with Brahim Diaz.
Brahim Diaz to pen a new deal
According to Fabrizio Romano, Brahim Diaz is expected to become the next Real Madrid player to sign a renewal this summer.
Diaz, who was linked with a move away from Santiago Bernabeu not too long ago, has emerged as a key creative outlet for the club.
Although the versatile attacker scored only six goals in all competitions last season, his overall impact was far greater. Not to mention, he also chipped in with seven assists.
As per Romano, the former Manchester City starlet will sign a new deal with the club, with agreement already done.
The agreement will be formally sealed soon, which will be followed by an official announcement.
Brahim’s current deal at Real Madrid expires in 2027, but it appears Los Blancos are looking to retain the Moroccan international’s services in the years to come.
Diaz could be an interesting option for new coach Xabi Alonso, who prefers versatile players in the final third and could unlock the true potential of the Moroccan international.
After Diaz, Real Madrid will renew the contract of defensive prodigy Raul Asencio, even though the youngster’s recent performances have been far from ideal.
