Arsenal Partner With Airwallex In Multi-Year Deal
Arsenal have announced a multi-year partnership with Airwallex which will see it become the club’s Official Finance Software Partner in a deal that aims to and streamline how the club handles payments – not just at the checkout, but across operations.
The partnership kicks off with Airwallex as the Presenting Partner for the Gunners’ upcoming Men’s pre-season tour of eastern Asia. From Singapore to Seoul, the fintech platform will play a role behind the scenes, powering transactions and getting its digital infrastructure stress-tested ahead of the new season.
Looking further ahead, Arsenal and Airwallex are set to collaborate on enhancing the club’s payment gateway services, aiming to bring a sharper edge to how fans engage with the club online and at Emirates Stadium.
The deal also gives Airwallex access to the crown jewels of Arsenal’s branding, with rights to use both the Men’s and Women’s first team imagery in its campaigns. That means fans can expect exclusive, matchday-driven content beamed across Emirates screens during both Premier League and Women’s Super League fixtures.
Juliet Slot, chief commercial officer at Arsenal, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Airwallex to our Arsenal family, and to introduce them to our Gooners around the world on our upcoming Men’s tour to Asia. They share our values, our ambition to grow, and our ambition to win. We look forward to working together with them closely over the coming years to drive efficiencies across our commercial operations, supporting our growth and fuelling the investment that will bring us sustained success.”
Jack Zhang, Co-Founder and CEO of Airwallex, added: “Whether it’s helping the club save time and money in their day-to-day financial operations, or creating a smoother payments experience for supporters enjoying the football experience, we believe this collaboration will create real value for football, for businesses, and for aspirational people all around the world.”
