FC Barcelona will soon be commencing their preseason training and preparations. For the Catalan giants, this presents a great opportunity to freshen up and get ready for the official season. However, before they do that, Barcelona also have certain operations to close.
When it comes to signings, La Blaugrana have made only one major acquisition for the first team this summer so far. That was the arrival of Joan Garcia from Espanyol for around €25 million, and no other signing has been made since then that is strictly for the first team.
However, it would now appear that Barça has made another notable signing and has officially confirmed it as well. Even though the player’s direct affiliation seems to be with the reserve team, there seems to be a plan in place to give him first team opportunities.
Barcelona confirm their new signing
That player, as confirmed officially by FC Barcelona, is 19-year-old Swedish talent Roony Bardghji. Signed from FC Copenhagen this summer, the young winger arrives with a lot of promise and a lot of talent to put on display.
After a successful stint at the Danish club, he now joins Barcelona to make his dream come true. Known for his ability to take on players and combine it with goals and efficiency, the Swedish talent is a great acquisition for the club.
A deal that runs until 2029
Despite being a low-cost arrival, the young player brings with him a lot of talent and promise. Due to this faith in his long-term progress, Barcelona have signed him on a four-year deal that will run until 2029.
He had already signed his contract with the club before, but the Catalan side has now officially announced his arrival. For now, the plan seems to be to send him on preseason under Hansi Flick’s orders, and let the coach assess his quality for now and whether or not he could play most of his football for the first team during the official season.
