Spurs expected to make an improved offer for Ghana star after having a £50m bid rejected by West Ham
Mohammed Kudus reported to West Ham for the first day of pre-season training on Monday, as Tottenham weigh up a second bid for the forward.
Spurs are expected to make an improved offer for Kudus after having a £50million bid rejected by West Ham.
Kudus is open to leaving the Hammers and wants to play for a Champions League club.
Informal talks are continuing about the possibility of the 24-year-old becoming the first player to move from West Ham to Spurs since Scott Parker in 2011.
Kudus has a release clause, which is active until Thursday, that means he can join Premier League clubs for £85m, European clubs for £80m or teams from Saudi Arabia for £120m.
Spurs are said to be confident they can sign the forward for well below his buy-out fee.
They were previously interested in Bryan Mbeumo, but the Brentford star is prioritising a move to Manchester United.
Kudus was offered to Chelsea earlier this summer but a move to Stamford Bridge is unlikely with the two clubs some way apart in their valuations of the player.
The Ghana international favours a move to Spurs over Chelsea, who have since signed both Joao Pedro from Brighton and Jamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund.
Kudus joined West Ham from Ajax for £38m in 2023 and still has three years to run on his contract.
