The Bundesliga wishes to extend its deepest sympathies to the family of Diogo Jota following the untimely passing of the Liverpool and Portugal forward and his brother André in a road traffic accident.
The 28-year-old Jota lit up the pitch with his superb skill and astute finishing and his presence will be deeply missed in the world game.
He was recently crowned a Premier League champion with Liverpool, the club for whom he made 182 appearances and scored 65 goals. He also won 49 senior caps for Portugal and celebrated a second UEFA Nations League triumph with his country in Germany in June.
