Atalanta welcome Southampton’s Kamaldeen Sulemana for his medical, then show interest in former Milan defender Jan-Carlo Simic of RSC Anderlecht.
As Football Italia already reported, a deal was done with Southampton to purchase winger Sulemana for a total of €21m.
That is a €17m fixed fee, plus another €4m in various add-ons and a cut of the future sale for the Saints.
The 23-year-old arrived in Italy today to undergo his medical tests and then sign the five-year contract, which should be completed tomorrow.
Atalanta busy on the transfer market
Meanwhile, Tuttomercatoweb transfer pundit Marco Conterio maintains that Atalanta are also looking to bring defender Simic back to Serie A.
He had spent time in the Milan youth academy and stepped up to the senior squad, but was sold to RSC Anderlecht for €3m last summer.
As part of that agreement, the Rossoneri will receive 20 per cent of any future transfer fee, so will profit from a move to Atalanta.
