Alessandro Bastoni celebrating Inter Milan Serie A title amid Barcelona transfer interest.
Fresh off a historic title win, Inter Milan are already facing transfer speculation — and this time it involves one of their defensive pillars, Alessandro Bastoni.
Club president Beppe Marotta has now addressed growing rumours linking the centre-back with a move to FC Barcelona.
Marotta did not shy away from the speculation, openly confirming that Barcelona are monitoring Bastoni.
However, he made it clear that:
For Inter fans, that reassurance will come as a relief — at least for now.
Marotta emphasized a key principle in modern football — player desire.
According to him, any potential transfer would depend on Bastoni’s personal decision.
At the moment, there is no indication that the defender is pushing for an exit.
Instead, both player and club appear aligned following a successful campaign.
Bastoni has been central to Inter’s defensive structure, playing a key role in their Serie A title-winning season.
His qualities include:
These attributes have made him one of Europe’s most sought-after defenders.
Barcelona’s interest in Bastoni is part of a broader plan to strengthen their squad.
The Spanish giants are reportedly targeting:
As they aim to return to dominance both domestically and in Europe.
Inter’s recent success adds another layer of complexity.
Having just secured their 21st league title, the club is unlikely to weaken its squad easily.
The momentum, stability, and ambition within the team could make it difficult for Barcelona to lure away key players.
Barcelona may be circling, but Inter remain in control of the situation.
For now, Alessandro Bastoni stays at the heart of a championship-winning team — and any move will depend on more than just interest.
