Juventus are eager to bring in fresh funds and that could mean sacrificing several of their Next Gen talents this summer.
Although former director of sport Cristiano Giuntoli was pushed out in part due to his failure to make the most of the young players coming through the academy, the club is still trying to sell off teenagers for a profit to then reinvest in more consolidated names.
Juventus not putting faith in young players
According to Calciomercato.it, there are specifically four names in the current Nex Gen squad that will be sacrificed by Juventus.
They are Spanish defender Javier Gil, strikers Luis Semedo, Ivan Lopez and Tommaso Mancini.
The plan would seem to be to ship them off to the Saudi Pro League, which would allow the Bianconeri to generate significantly more money than a sale in Italy or Europe.
Convincing the players to accept such a transfer at their age might be a little more difficult.
The same source also reports that Juventus have decided against keeping Francisco Baridó, the 17-year-old creative midfielder who was poached from the Boca Juniors youth academy in February 2024.
He scored seven goals with nine assists in 16 games for the Under-17 Juventus side this season, but has not sufficiently convinced new director Damien Comolli, who feels he is too physically slight to make it in Italian football.
