Unhappy Frattesi More Likely To Stay At Inter
Davide Frattesi has been tipped to leave Inter for multiple windows in a row, but the arrival of Christian Chivu could change things. The midfielder has had a chat with the new gaffer and might not no longer try to force his way out since he could have a more prominent role, Sky informs.
The 25-year-old has been routinely attached to Napoli, Juventus, and Roma since moving to San Siro. If he stayed, he would probably get a new contract too. He’s currently tied to the Nerazzurri until 2028.
According to Mediaset, while Inter might keep hold of Frattesi, Hakan Calhanoglu is drawing interest from Galatasaray, in addition to Saudi sides. His agent Gordon Stipic is in Istanbul to collect info.
The Turk is a fan of the team. The Nerazzurri haven’t received an offer and don’t want to sell. Eventually, they’d want €40M for their linchpin, but the bid would likely stop well short.
Giuseppe Marotta and co. have tested the waters for Adrian Bernabé, Mandela Keita, Ederson, Samuele Ricci, and Nicolò Rovella. As for the Lazio cornerstone, the Biancocelesti could be interested in a swap with Frattesi. The two have matching price tags but different characteristics and wages.
Our Take on Inter, Frattesi, and Calhanoglu
The turn of events might keep the former in town until January to see it through, although there’s a reason why Henrikh Mkhitaryan was playing constantly, and he’ll also have to split duties with Petar Sucic. His minutes in the Club World Cup could be telling already. There’s no chance he’ll join Lazio. There might be some fire behind the smoke surrounding the veteran. His exit would be equally surprising and detrimental.
