Club Brugge left-back Maxim De Cuyper has caught the eye of two Serie A sides, as Milan and Roma are looking at the €25m-rated Belgium international.
This is hardly the first time that De Cuyper has been linked with a potential move to Italy, as the 24-year-old impressed this season with four goals and seven assists in 54 competitive appearances for Club Brugge.
His versatility is important, able to play as a left-back, on the left side of a five-man midfield, or even in a trident attack down the same flank.
De Cuyper targeted by two Serie A clubs
Milan had already been linked with him as a possible target this summer, with Theo Hernandez in advanced talks for a move to Atletico Madrid.
Now Calciomercato.com and Belgian transfer expert Sacha Tavolieri suggest that Roma are stepping up in a big way for De Cuyper.
They see him as a perfect replacement for Angelino, if the Spaniard does move to Al-Hilal, with Gian Piero Gasperini having already scouted him for Atalanta in the past.
The asking price could be an issue, set at €25-30m, but this could be bridged with a loan and option to buy deal.
Juventus had also been linked in recent months.
