After formally presenting Dean Huijsen and Trent Alexander-Arnold as the latest additions to their squad, Real Madrid have now announced the signing of teenage gem Franco Mastantuono from River Plate.
“Real Madrid CF announces that Franco Mastantuono will be a player for our club for the next six seasons, from August 14, 2025, to June 30, 2031,” the statement from the club read.
Real Madrid have had their eye on Mastantuono ever since he burst onto the scenes at River Plate last year. Even though talks were held over a move back then, the operation fell through.
Real Madrid, though, moved swiftly for the 17-year-old Argentine prodigy again this summer after it emerged that PSG were making progress in his signing.
Now, Mastantuono has become the latest addition to the ranks at the Santiago Bernabeu, signing a six-year contract until 2031.
Real Madrid are understood to have shelled out a fee of €45 million for the youngster’s signing, who will arrive on August 14, when he turns 18.
