Fulham In Transfer Tussle To Sign Raoul Bellanova
Marco Alexandre Saraiva da Silva is a Portuguese football manager and former player who played as a right-back. He is the head coach of Premier League club Fulham.
Marco Silva’s Fulham are ready to battle multiple top clubs for the signature of Atalanta midfield mainstay Raoul Bellanova.
According to a report from TuttoMercatoWeb, Fulham are plotting a raid on Atalanta for the signature of Raoul Bellanova. The Cottagers are looking to bolster their squad further this summer and Marco Silva is keen on having the Italian international in his squad.
Bellanova joined Atalanta last summer from Torino. He cemented himself as a key figure in the team in no time. The 25-year-old ended up featuring in a total of 44 matches and he even contributed towards 11 goals. His impressive performances have put him on the radar of quite a few top clubs.
Fulham are interested in Bellanova’s signature
While the majority of his appearances at Atalanta have come as a right midfielder, he can feature in an advanced role as well as a full-back when needed. The 25-year-old Italian international has built quite a reputation for himself and Fulham are one of the clubs that are willing to battle for his signature.
The Cottagers have been quite consistent under Marco Silva. They have secured a mid-table finish in each of their last three seasons and are now looking at ways to take the next step and push for a European spot.
The London club seeks more quality and Bellanova is one of the players they are keen on signing. Fulham believes the Italian wide player can significantly bolster their right flank. Marco Silva is pushing for his signature but convincing him won’t be easy.
Fulham will struggle to sign Bellanova
With Atalanta, he is almost certain to feature in the Champions League every season, whereas Fulham are a mid-table club that won’t be involved in any European competition next season. As a result, luring Bellanova won’t be easy.
Apart from convincing him, the Cottagers could even face competition from Napoli. The Naples-based club have kept a close eye on him. They are looking to undergo a major rebuild and he is one of their top targets.
Meanwhile, Atalanta have no intentions of selling the 25-year-old as new manager Ivan Juric considers him a key part of his plans. With his contract running until 2029, they are certainly in complete control of his future.
