Air Albania Secures FA And National Stadium Naming Rights
The Albanian Football Federation (FSHF) has agreed a sponsorship including naming rights for its National Stadium in Tirana with airline Air Albania Stadium.
The Air Albania Stadium, a significant landmark in Tirana, and represents a modern sports infrastructure that blends contemporary design with historical elements and has become a hub for sports and entertainment in the region.
Officially opened on November 17, 2019, with a Euro qualifier match between Albania and France, the construction cost was approximately €85 million.
“We are here today to reiterate a collaboration that has given value not only to sport, but also to a new model for the way Albanian football interacts with the business world. The name ‘Air Albania Stadium’ is not just a commercial name placed on a sports facility. It is evidence of a modern philosophy, where sport, economy, and national identity go hand in hand,” said said Armand Duka, President of the Albanian Football Federation.
“This stadium was the first in Albania and among the first in the region to be named with a commercial name. It was an innovative decision, a bold step, which showed that there is room for sustainable sports marketing models in Albania as well. Today, with the renewal of this agreement for the next five years, we are showing that this market not only exists, but is developing,”,concluded Duka.
Air Albania chief executive Sinan Isik emphasised this partnership guarantees stability for the stadium and the country’s national competitions.
“Through this agreement, Air Albania confirms its commitment to being more than an air transport company to be an active partner in the social, cultural and sporting life of the country. The decision to continue supporting Albanian football and to once again associate the name of our company with the most important stadium in the country is a clear indicator of the confidence we have in the future of Albanian sport and in the development of our society. Air Albania is moving with confident steps towards expansion, increasing its fleet, destinations and quality of service, and with this cooperation, we show that our foundation is stable and our goal is long-term development”, said Isik.
