Barcelona youngster Pablo Torre recently spoke out on how he felt hard done by Hansi Flick’s decisions last season, especially for not rewarding him close to how much he deserved for his quality on the field.
Given the player’s situation and the severe competition in midfield, the club was faced with a serious dilemma on how to progress forward – to keep him, sell him or loan him out.
After evaluating all the pros and cons of the options available, it appears to have been decided that a sale with a buy-back clause is the best route forward for all parties involved and Torre could thus be on his way out.
Three clubs enquire
As relayed by SPORT in a recent update, Barcelona are confident of selling the young midfielder this summer, that too with a release clause included. After all, his quality did not go unnoticed last season despite the drought for minutes.
Three La Liga teams have enquired and shown interest in signing him and the player will take a final decision after the ongoing U-21 Euros.
Valencia, Sevilla and Osasuna, as it stands, are the three parties interested in his signing and all offer him a great chance to hone his skills with regular minutes in the first division.
Concurrently, however, the report adds that all three clubs would prefer a move on loan for Torre, something Barcelona are not currently in favour of given that his deal runs out in 2026.
There is also interest in the midfielder from outside Spain with both Bayer Leverkusen and FC Porto being cited as possible destinations. Everything, however, will boil down to his choice and the economic aspect.
Torre’s final decision will depend on a number of factors including the regularity of minutes promised, the project of the team and even the style of play.
After all, he will look to join a team with a similar style to Barcelona so he can convince them of a way back soon.
