Liverpool forward Federico Chiesa admits he is open to a return to Italy.
Chiesa arrived at Anfield in an initial £10 million deal from Juventus but proved a peripheral figure with just 14 appearances in all competitions in his debut season.
The forward continues to be heavily linked with a move back to his homeland with Serie A giants AC Milan the latest to be credited with an interest in signing him.
Former Juve manager Max Allegri has taken charge at the San Siro and is said to be keen on a reunion with Chiesa to bring his brief spell with the Reds to an end.
Asked about interest from the Rossoneri and other Serie A clubs, he said: “That’s something to think about during the summer.
“My family, my agent and I have a great relationship with Liverpool, and the goal is to be ready for the pre-season. We’ll find the best solution for everyone.
“I work every day with a Liverpool programme to be in top shape for the tests on July 8.
“While out of the squad (at Juventus), I was able to train in great condition, but I missed playing friendlies. I had to start from scratch at Liverpool and that held me back.
“I hope (next season) it’s my season, my dream is to participate in the World Cup. I played and won a European Championship, the World Cup would be the best.”
