Forest Netball maintained pursuit of the Netball Super League’s top four with an impressive 66-62 win against title-chasing Loughborough Lightning at the Motorpoint Arena.
Goal Shooter Rolene Streutker was on fire for the Reds netting 41 goals against Lightning with Chelsea Pitman’s side recording a total of 17 more shots than their opponents.
Forest landed fewer Super Shots than the home side, without which the difference between the sides could well have been greater.
But the Reds’ accuracy before the Super Shot time became active, proved decisive in securing the win for Pitman’s team.
The Reds end the season with back-to-back home matches against first Birmingham Panthers then Leeds Rhinos at the Motorpoint Arena.
Forest remain in the hunt for a top four place, and victory against the high-flying Lightning further underlines’ the Reds’ credentials as top four candidates.
Pitman’s Reds are just six points behind London Mavericks in their debut Netball Super League campaign.
Forest have claimed maximum points against their East Midlands Rivals this season following their 73-71 win in Round Three.
