Heartbreak For Kano As Athletes Die In Post-Festival Crash
A tragic accident has claimed the lives of members of the Kano State contingent returning home from the recently concluded National Sports Festival held in Ogun State.
The fatal crash occurred earlier today, leaving the Nigerian sports community in shock and mourning.
The athletes and officials, who had proudly represented their state in the prestigious national event, were returning from a week of sporting competition when the unfortunate incident occurred.

Hon. Adeboye Anthony Adeyinka, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Grassroots Sports Development, issued a heartfelt condolence message in response to the tragedy.
“This is a devastating loss for Nigerian sports,” he said. “These young people were heroes who gave their all in service to their state and country.
Their commitment and sacrifice will never be forgotten. My heart goes out to their families, teammates, and the entire Kano sports community.”
The National Sports Festival serves as Nigeria’s premier platform for grassroots athletic excellence, bringing together the best talents from across the federation.
The tragic loss has cast a shadow over the unity and energy that the festival fosters.
