Real Madrid Name Club Legend Castilla Manager
Following the departure of Raul Gonzalez earlier this week, Real Madrid have now officially announced that Alvaro Arbeloa will replace him as the new manager of Castilla.
“Real Madrid CF announces that Alvaro Arbeloa will be the manager of Castilla starting in the 2025-2026 season,” the club statement read.
Arbeloa spent seven seasons in the Real Madrid first-team setup between 2009 and 2016 before leaving for Liverpool.
The 42-year-old returned to Valdebebas in 2020, joining as the youth team coach starting with the Under-14 side, leading them to the league title in 2020/21, before coaching the Under-16 team 2021/22.
Arbeloa has been in charge of the Under-19 (Juvenil A) side since 2022 and has achieved tremendous success.
The former defender led the team to the domestic the treble in 2022/2023: La Liga, Copa del Rey, and Copa de Campeones and won the league title once again this season.
Now, he has been promoted to the role of the Castilla manager, replacing another club legend Raul.
