Mikel Obi Urges Chelsea To Sign Osimhen

Chelsea icon and former Super Eagles midfielder, John Mikel Obi, has made a passionate appeal to his former club to sign Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, calling him “unplayable” and insisting Stamford Bridge is the only rightful destination for the Napoli star.

In a recent interview, Mikel expressed unwavering admiration for Osimhen’s relentless form and trophy-winning presence, stating, “Any club he joins ends up lifting silverware. He’s done it in France, in Italy, and now in Turkey. He is a game-changer.”

Currently shining on loan at Galatasaray, Osimhen has netted 35 goals in 39 appearances and helped secure both the Turkish Süper Lig and the domestic cup.

Despite Chelsea’s long-standing interest, the striker has also attracted attention from PSG, Manchester United, and Saudi clubs offering astronomical deals.

But for Mikel, the decision is clear: “I don’t want to see him at PSG, Arsenal, or United. This is our player. He loves Chelsea—and Chelsea needs him now more than ever.”

As Chelsea continue their search for a commanding striker to lead a new era, Mikel’s public endorsement may serve as a crucial push to bring Osimhen to West London.
