Roma head coach Claudio Ranieri has expressed confidence in his team’s ability to advance to the next round of the Coppa Italia despite the challenge posed by AC Milan.
The quarter-final encounter is set to take place tonight, with Ranieri emphasizing Roma’s readiness for the showdown.
“Our objective is to do well against Milan. We know that at home they have not lost in 12 games — the last defeat was against Napoli,” Ranieri told the club’s official website.
Praising AC Milan’s resurgence under Sergio Conceicao, Ranieri highlighted their impressive form.
“Since Conceicao arrived, they have had five wins, two draws, and two defeats. We are going to face a team full of talent and champions.”
Despite acknowledging Milan’s strength, Ranieri remained optimistic:
“We want to do well and get through to the next round. We are aware that we are facing a great team, but we will try to play our game.
“I expect a difficult match, but we are ready to face a great team. Milan can explode in attack and have quality players, but we are up for the challenge.”
Roma will need a disciplined and resilient performance to secure their spot in the semi-finals of the prestigious tournament.
