Marcus Rashford’s Man United future in doubt after loan move to Aston Villa
Marcus Rashford may have played his final game for Manchester United following his loan move to Aston Villa on Sunday.
The 27-year-old forward, who last featured for United on December 12, had fallen out of favor under manager Ruben Amorim. Villa secured his services on a short-term deal with an option to make the transfer permanent for £40 million in the summer.
According to The Guardian, despite the temporary nature of the move, Rashford’s return to Old Trafford is highly unlikely.
The report suggests that Rashford’s relationship with his boyhood club has completely deteriorated, with no prospects of a reunion even if Amorim departs.
His contract with United runs until 2028, but he is expected to seek another loan next summer if Aston Villa declines a permanent deal.
