Remo Stars have officially announced the departure of their midfielder, Jide Fatokun, who has joined Sudanese giants Al-Merrikh.
Fatokun has penned a two-year contract with the club.
A statement on Remo Stars’ official website reads:
“Remo Stars can confirm an agreement in principle with Al-Merrikh SC for the sale of midfielder, Babajide Fatokun.”
The club added, “Everyone at the Club would like to wish Jide, the best of luck with the remainder of his career.”
The 26-year-old played a pivotal role in the home-based Super Eagles’ qualification for the 2024 African Nations Championship. He featured in both legs of the qualifiers against Ghana’s Black Galaxies.
