Pep Guardiola Finally Answers England Manager links Amid Lee Carsley Doubts
Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola spent some time in Italy during the second international break and gave a wide-ranging interview to the TV show Che Tempo Che Fa, revisiting his career, his past time in the Peninsula, and more (via Calciomercato).
“I don’t go on TV because I already hold six press conferences per week. I know that we don’t say much during those, but the journalists can ask me whatever they want. I’m fine and a little tired of my job, as everybody is at times. I like football a lot, though.”
Guardiola has completed the treble twice.
“Well, I’m very good. I had some luck at Barcelona, which is my favorite team. I’ve been in three great clubs throughout the course of my career.”
The boss has a short-term contract with Manchester City.
“I need to reflect and haven’t decided yet. England? No. If I had made up my mind, I would have already relayed it. Everything can happen in life. I don’t know where I’ll coach next.”
Guardiola joked about Roberto Baggio, who was a guest on the program as well.
“Maybe I’ll come to Italy if he’s my assistant. I get emotional when I speak about him. He was the best, but his knee was shot when we played together. He’s a sunny person. I think everybody loves him in Italy, no matter their allegiance. He was always open on the pitch. It was truly a wonderful time for me. He was exceptional and had a lot of freedom, which was fair. I was playing in a different reality, but I never regretted joining Brescia. Winning was bliss, and we had a lot of fun.”
