Paul Pogba Courted By Amateur Club Unrecognized By FIFA

Juventus outcast Paul Pogba has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for ‘Broke Boys FC,’ an amateur celebrity side in Russia. According to Foot Mercato, the Russian outfit could tempt the former France international to make what would’ve been a bizarre call with an eye-watering contract proposal in January.

The out-of-favor Juventus ace will return to action at the start of 2025 after the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) reduced his sentence earlier this month. Found guilty of doping offenses in 2023 after a drug test showed DHEA – a compound that promotes the production of hormones in the body – in his system, Pogba’s career seemed over.

Pogba’s future, however, lies far away from Juventus. The record-time Italian champions are hellbent on terminating his lucrative contract in the coming months. With the player open to leaving Turin for regular first-team action elsewhere, an agreement could arrive on short notice.

In the meantime, Olympique Marseille and Los Angeles FC have set their sights on the 31-year-old. But the future may have other plans for the forgotten playmaker. In a shocking turn of events, Pogba could swap Juventus for the Media Football League, operating as an unofficial league formed of various influencers and celebrities across Russia.

Despite their amateur status, Broke Boys contemplate an audacious bid for Pogba after winning the league title in front of over 27,000 fans this year. Juventus will pave the way for the Frenchman’s transfer after Thiago Motta deemed the ex-Manchester United megastar surplus to requirements.
